A FULL-IMMERSION EXPERIENCE INTO THE FUTURE OF SAILING

Devised by one of the most famous foilers in the world, Olympic medallist Santi Lange, the Academy is an unmissable opportunity for amateurs to learn foiling techniques from scratch.

Advanced and tailor-made courses are also available for expert sailors, kite foilers or moth racers to focus on training ahead of the regattas.

There are various formulas one can choose from, which are either linked to the 69F Cup/ YFGC events or held at other times of the year. Packages can be bought for one day, three days or for a weekly “pass” and include lessons at sea, classes on theory and techniques Santi Lange’s techniques and will be supported by professional sailors and expert shore teams.

The Academy is located in Malcesine, on Lake Garda. It is open throughout the year, except during the 69F CUP/ YFGC races and when the foiling Academy transfers to the Clubs hosting the regattas one week before the races.

On land, Team 69F offers high-quality hospitality and accompanying events to complete your full-immersion experience into the future of sailing.

SANTI LANGE

Santi Lange is an Olympic sailor and naval architect from Argentina. Born in 1961, he has won three Olympic medals, two bronze and one gold at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro games, after winning his battle against cancer. The Argentinian Olympic team in Rio included two of his four children, Jago and Klaus, who are also part of the 69F Academy project.

“Sailing will have a great future if it develops in one specific direction, one of more fun, more technique, more speed, less rules and more immediacy. Sailing clubs should be open, more inclusive and respectful of the environment. These factors are what the 69F embodies: the foiling monohull is the key to the future of world sailing and my aim is to popularise it as much as possible”.
