69F Sailing, a trailblazer in the world of foiling monohull sailing, is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated 2024 calendar, featuring a dynamic lineup of races at the innovative 69F circuits, both in Europe and in the USA. This season’s calendar promises to elevate the excitement and competitiveness with an array of racing events tailored to various age groups and genders, and have chosen a home both in Europe with Lake Garda and in the USA with Miami, to optimize logistic and finances both for 69F and for the sailors and to be as sustainable as possible, because nature is our playground and we must do our best to preserve it. Both Lake Garda and Miami, are also unquestionably two of the best sailing spots in the world, guaranteeing excellence conditions in their own season.
In 2024, 69F Sailing is all set to provide a unique and thrilling experience for sailing enthusiasts by offering the following four exciting racing categories.
69F Cup: this category is open to sailors of all ages and backgrounds, providing an inclusive platform for sailors to showcase their skills in the one-design foiling monohull. The 69F Cup will be the ultimate test of skill and strategy and it is indeed foiling for everyone, even first time foilers.
69F Club Super Series USA: prepare for an exhilarating showdown on the US circuit, where top-notch clubs will engage in fierce competition over four events in Miami, Florida, to claim an exclusive slot in the Grand Final, set to take place in the stunning coastal city of Pensacola, Florida, in October 2024.
Youth Foiling Gold Cup (Under 25) YFGC: the Youth Foiling Gold Cup is tailored for the young and talented sailors under the age of 25. It provides a platform for the next generation of sailors to compete and display their prowess on the foils. It will take place both in Europe and in the USA, with one event in January in Miami.
Women Foiling Gold Cup WFGC: in line with our commitment to promoting gender equality in sailing, the Women Foiling Gold Cup offers female sailors a dedicated space to demonstrate their sailing excellence and compete at the highest level. After the incredible success of the 2023 first women event in Gargnano, Lake Garda, we have the commitment and the energy to go on with it.
Junior Foiling Gold Cup (Under 21) JFGC: for the first time, 69F Sailing introduces the Junior Foiling Gold Cup, exclusively for sailors under the age of 21. This event is designed to nurture young talent and provide them with a unique introduction to foiling monohull racing. If foiling represent the future of sailing, the young generation should be involved in the process, the younger the better.
