OCEANA VIVO LEADER OF THE GOLD FLEET AFTER SIX RACES

Oceana Vivo (GBR) and Groupe Atlantic (FRA) would be the ones going to Barcelona, as the Caribbeans have claimed the ticket to the Grand Final in May in La Grande Motte

Another thrilling race day in Torbole for day six of the ITAS 69F YFGC Act 4, it was the first day of Gold and Silver Fleet and the South breeze started blowing as expected earlier in the day, allowing six races for the top six teams and four for the others. The wind grew in intensity towards the end of the day, and the last two races of the Gold Fleet had a windward/leeward racecourse.

The boat of the day is Oceana Vivo (GBR) at 26 points, followed by Antigua Rum Runners (ANT) tight on points, third is Groupe Atlantic (FRA) with 21, closely followed by Luna Rossa Swordfish (ITA) at 20. The Italians had regrettably had their first bad day today. Nothing is certain though, as six more races are planned for tomorrow just for the Gold Fleet.

The weather for tomorrow at the moment doesn’t look promising, with a big storm passing over the North of Italy overnight, the time limit for the start of the last race is 3pm.
