TEAMS ARE READY FOR THE 69F CUP GRAND PRIX 4 AND FOR THE EUROSAF 69F EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Malcesine (Garda Lake) – The spotlights will be on Fraglia Vela Malcesine along the upcoming week end, on the occasion of the Grand Prix 4 of the 69F Cup, an event valid also as EUROSAF 69F European Championship.

Seven teams are gathered on the northern side of the Lake of Garda, between them the two crews most likely to win the overall ranking of the 69F Cup: Clement Cron’s Groupe Atlantic, ruler of the Grand Prix 3 held in Acquafresca and leader of the standing, and Allan Norreggard’s FIN1 Racing, winner of the 2023 Europeans. After three Grand Prix, the two teams are separated by just four points and are preparing for the decisive duel.

A fight in which Kirill Frolov’s Team Hubex and Zachary Blomely’s Oceana Vivo will try to insert, even if moving from a little further away: they are paired eleven points on the Groupe Atlantic’s wake.

Given the high level of competitiveness of the 69F Class, always open to surprising results, and the high value in play, with the chase to the EUROSAF 69F European Champions, then watch out also for CER – Banque du Léman skippered by Alexander Ott, Russian Bogatyrs with Igor Ritov at the helm and Teen Pirogovo led by Sergey Kuznecov.

Teams are now training in Malcesine, taking advantage of the world famous Wind Factory, and will race between Friday and Sunday on the race courses selected by Chief Sailing Officer Dede De Luca and Race Director David Bartol.
