Garda keeps delivering amazing sailing days, on day three of the 69F Women Foiling Gold Cup, today, the Southern breeze, Ora, filled in a little later than expected but grew steady and it was soon above 10Â knots, just what the PRO David Bartol was waiting for to start the racing sequence. Seven races were finished in perfect foiling conditions, in which the top six teams managed to improve their skills and extend their margin over the bottom four.

Team Jajo DutchSail (NED) is the best of the week, American Magic 1 (USA) follows right behind, Società Velica Barcola e Grignano (ITA) is third, VMG Racing (NZL) fourth, American Magic 2 (USA) is fifth and Team Profand Spain closes in sixth. These are the six teams that will access the Gold Fleet tomorrow: five races at the end of which, the top two will go on and duel in a best-of-three match race to determine the winner of the first ever 69F Women Foiling Gold Cup.

Women’s AC Team Germany, Team Australia Challenge, Orient Express Racing Team and Team Canada Women’s Cup Team will have to attend as spectators the final phases of the regatta tomorrow.
